Completed in 1864, the Victorian architect, Cuthbert Broderick (responsible for several other buildings in Leeds, including the Town Hall) created a vast oval hall with windows in the oval roof providing direct sunlight to make judging the corn samples more accurate. Now restored as host to a variety of funky shops and cafes.
