Built in 1488 and known as the 'Hampton Court of the North', many original features still survive today. Birthplace of Lord Darnley, husband of Mary Queen of Scots, it contains superb interiors, furniture, artwork and museum pieces spanning centuries. A gift shop is also located on the site as well as a working farm which is a national centre for rare breeds.
Its all there....turn up the contrast - nice.
