Fakenham to Mundesley Travel Guide

The first communities were settled in Fakenham around the 6th century, though it was not established as a market town until approximately seven hundred years later. There is a lovely mix of Elizabethan and Georgian architecture around the town, particularly in the Upper Market area. Nearby Aylsham is on the Bure Valley Heritage Railway line, and you can get tickets that combine a steam train journey with a cruise of the Broads. Mundesley is a quiet coastal holiday village, where the beaches are extremely clean, and have lifeguard patrols in the summer months.
