Peterborough & Lincolnshire Travel Guide

Lincoln Cathedral - P Julie Woodhouse

Peterborough is a standard English city with a pretty cathedral and grounds. The countryside becomes absolutely flat northwards into Lincolnshire where there are great swathes of farmland growing vegetables and bulbs. Each May the Spalding Flower Parade gives the locals a chance to show them off. The Boston Stump can be climbed for views of the town and fens but more impressive is the cathedral at historic Lincoln, which dominates the country around. Near the busy seaside resort of Skegness there is a nature reserve and Seal Sanctuary.
