Market Drayton & Whitchurch
Market Drayton is an attractive market town that sits on the banks of the Shropshire Union Canal. Historic buildings are all around the town, and an informative trail tells you all about the life and times of Clive of India, who was born here in 1725. Whitchurch claims to be the oldest continually inhabited settlement in the whole country, and makes a great base for starting the lovely Shropshire Way walk.
