Wensleydale is packed with things to see and do. To the west lies the village of Hawes, which has been producing the valley’s famous cheese since the 12th century. Just to the north are Hardraw Falls, one of the country’s highest waterfalls, while further east you will find Aysgarth Falls. Other attractions include Jervaulx Abbey and the Herriot Way, so called because it takes in the countryside described in the famous novels about a Yorkshire vet.
