Falkirk is another of central Scotland’s historic towns, and was the scene of famous battles involving William Wallace and Bonnie Prince Charlie. The two great Scottish canals, the Forth-Clyde and Union, meet in Falkirk, and are joined by the world’s first rotating boat-lift, the Falkirk Wheel. It is an amazing site, and undoubtedly the town’s most impressive attraction.
