Set in the beautiful South Downs, the town of Arundel is dominated by the medieval castle that has been home to the Dukes of Norfolk for over 850 years. The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust is another town attraction and you can visit their ‘Eye of the Wind’ art gallery, as well as spot a host of wildlife. Worthing found fame as a coastal resort when Princess Amelia popularised it in the late 18th century, and though it offers safe bathing and the usual seaside attractions, it is much quieter than its South Coast neighbours, Brighton and Eastbourne.
