East Anglia Travel Guide

Cambridge University - © Britain on View

East Anglia is a low-lying region towards the south east of Britain. It enjoys a better than average climate, and is not tarnished by any big, modern cities, and so lives life at an unhurried pace. The largest centre is Cambridge, though Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich are also quite sizeable. Bury St. Edmunds and Ely boast a fascinating heritage, while Constable Country and the Norfolk Broads are areas of great natural beauty.
