Superb cabaret

Posted by a TotalTraveller

Visited the club on Friday 15th June after my friends bought tickets for us to join them to see the Committee and Staff performing in their own cabaret. We had a fantastic night, the best night ever. These people know how to put on a show and considering they had never done this sort of thing before, they entertained everyone very much. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.

PS The man that sang as Dean Martin was immense and really got the crowd involved. What a voice this guy has.

Children welcome

Posted by a TotalTraveller from Southend on Sea, United Kingdom

My wife and I have just moved into the area and wanted to seek out the local social scene. With children in tow we visited the Ambleside Social club nearby. We were met by two members of their committee who gladly showed us around the premises and explained what they had to offer.

Darts, Snooker, Pool, Bowls (indoor), senior football teams, Jive lessons, Line dancing, bingo, and entertainment on Saturday nights with cabarets, discos and fancy dress nights regularly. The concert hall is also available for hire, great for when it's the wifes 50th birthday, ouch, just got a clip for telling everyone her age.

There are also childrens parties and outings and they have just had an extension built to incorporate a childrens play room. A garden is to be finished next year we were told. Our new friends put our names forward for membership and after two weeks we were accepted. The beauty of it all is that children are allowed into the club so we don't have to pay for baby sitters.

We have had some great times here and look forward to an exiting future at the Ambleside Social Club. Thanks guys.
