Situated on the south side of the River Stour, Harwich has established itself as one of the major East Coast ports and offers the shortest North Sea crossing into mainland Europe. With Harwich International Railway Station situated adjacent to the ferry terminal, and good access by road, Harwich is easily reached wether by road or rail.
