The King's Lynn & the Fens region is easily reached from the UK and many overseas destinations.
Regular flights go to one of East Anglia’s International airports at Stansted and Norwich, from many UK and European destinations. To fly to the region from outside Europe, connections can be made from one of the many UK and European gateway airports, such as Manchester or Amsterdam. Luton airport, where there are many cheap flights, is 95 miles, 2 hours 20 mins away. Alternatively the major airports at Gatwick and Heathrow both lie approximately 150 miles to the south of King's Lynn.
East Anglia’s sole port at Harwich, approximately 90 miles from King's Lynn, offers regular sailings per week from Denmark, Germany and Sweden. A twice daily service also operates into the Dutch port at the Hook of Holland.
A variety of Rail operators provides good rail links within the King's Lynn & the Fens region, with good connections to London and most UK towns and cities. Local buses and express coaches provide excellent coverage throughout East Anglia.
King's Lynn can be easily accessed from all directions by road, although there are no major motorways within the King's Lynn & the Fens area itself. The A17 connects with the A1, near Newark, to the north-west. The A47 connects to the A1(M), near Peterborough, to the west and continues on to Norwich in the east. The A10 travels south to Cambridge, connecting to the M11. The A134 heads south-easterly into Suffolk, joining the A14, heading into Ipswich. The A148 heads along the the coast providing access to the popular seaside resort at Cromer.
