The King's Lynn & the Fens region has excellent road links to all of the UK. The A10 offers a quick route from London and Cambridge, via Downham Market in the south, while the A47 provides links with Norwich to the east and the Midlands to the west. The A47 also offers a direct link with Wisbech, Swaffham and the A1(M), allowing easy travel to the north or south.

Without having to completely travel on major roads, journeys to the north can be achieved via the coastal A17 route which joins the A1(M) near Newark. The A141 helps to link a large number of towns within the King's Lynn & the Fens region, including Wisbech and March. The Norfolk coastal town of Hunstanton can be easily reached via the A149.

  • There are no motorways within the region, the closest being the M11 starting in Cambridgeshire
  • The majority of the rural areas are served by single carriageways
  • Many urban areas, such as King's Lynn, have high car usage and therefore access to main town centres will be slow
  • From London
  • 106 miles approx
  • 2 hours 30 mins drive via the A10, A14, M11, A14
