A few miles east of Hunstanton is Burnham Thorpe, which is significant as it was the birthplace of Horatio Nelson, whose father was the local rector.
A bust of Lord Nelson overlooks his father’s tomb in the local parish church and a roadside plaque marks where the old rectory, the house in which he was born, once stood.
Its Neighbour Burnham Market is a bustling town, offering fantastic restaurants, great shopping and apparently one of the most highly ranked nudist beaches in Britain.
