Hunstanton is the only east coast resort that actually faces west, affording it lovely views at sunset. The town came into its own in the Victorian era, which is reflected in the local architecture. Boasting a selection of lively seaside entertainments, like a pier, leisure centre, sea life aquarium and esplanade gardens.
Castle Rising, five miles north of King's Lynn, was built in 1140. Set in 12-acres of parkland and on top of ancient earthworks, the Keep stands imposingly against the surrounding flat lands. The Castle’s most famous resident was Isabella, wife of Edward II, who was banished here for the last thirty years of her life after ordering her husband’s murder.
