There are no ports within the King's Lynn & the Fens area itself, but the port at Harwich lies within easy reach.
Harwich International Ferry Port
Being easily accessible by major road and rail links, this port offers passenger and freight routes between King's Lynn & the Fens region and numerous European destinations throughout the year. The port is located at the eastern tip of Essex, approximately 90 miles from the centre of King's Lynn, along the A149, A10, A1066, A1088, A14 and A137.
The port has good facilities, including adequate car parking and direct routes to the vessels from the passenger terminal. Major ferry companies operate out of this port, with twice daily crossings into the Hook of Holland as well as crossings three to four times a week into Cuxhaven and Hamburg in Germany, Gothenberg in Sweden and Esbjerg in Denmark.
