Suffolk Travel Guide

The remains of the abbey can be seen at the old pilgrimage centre of Bury St. Edmunds, an attractive Georgian market town with a brewery. For racing fans, the National Horse Racing Museum is at Newmarket, birthplace of the sport. Around Thetford the area is steeped in history and Thetford Forest has good walks, cycling and other activities; for fishing try the beautiful town of Diss. The coast here is beautiful and best explored along the Suffolk Coast Walk. Aldeburgh and Southwold are both exclusive picturesque seaside towns.
