Brandon is surrounded by fantastic green forest, their are a couple of country parks that you can visit which are great for a day out including Brandon country park, where you can go on long walks, go mountain biking and bird-watching just to name a few- the country park is open all year round. Mountain biking is becoming very popular in Brandon, even though there are no mountains. There are a number of courses/tracks you can follow so would be a great way to explore the countryside.
If you enjoy walking Brandon has 2 riverside walks, one which is 1.5 miles and the other is 2 miles. All the terrain is easily accessible by most ages and abilities and there are a few chances to get refreshments on the walks. The scenery is very picturesque so the walks are very enjoyable and relaxing.
The Brecks are worth a visit, there is something for everyone here, you can go horse-riding, mountain biking, walking or just enjoy a picnic by the riverside. Why not visit an historical building like Oxburgh Hall or Neolithic flint mines at Grimes Graves. There is plenty to do in and around Brandon for all.
