Although situated on the coast, there are no ferry ports within the Norfolk Broads and the Coast area.

Harwich International Ferry Port

Located to the south of Ipswich, Harwich is approximately 80 miles south of the coastal resort of Great Yarmouth along the A12, A14 and A137. Being easily accessible by major road and rail links, the port offers passenger and freight routes between the Norfolk Broads & Coast region and mainland European throughout the year.

  • The port offers excellent facilities, including adequate car parking and direct routes to the vessels from the passenger terminal. Major ferry companies operate out of this port, offering twice daily crossings into the Hook of Holland as well as several crossings per week into Cuxhaven and Hamburg in Germany, Gothenberg in Sweden and Esbjerg in Denmark.
