Attleborough is a Norfolk village that grew in significance with the advent of the stage coach and railway eras. While the town of Wymondham’s prosperity was founded on the wool trade, and you can discover more about this, and other aspects of the town’s history at the Wymondham Heritage Museum. The town has an impressive abbey church, which benefited from competition between the local clergy and townsfolk, who wanted to out-do the others contribution to the building.
