For something charming, romantic, a stroll through history and a taste of the arts, Norwich fits the bill. The city is one of the five largest and wealthiest cities in Norman England and has transformed itself from a predominantly textile, trade and industrial wonder world to a cosmopolitan boomtown.

The city is easily navigated by foot, with the major landmarks and visiting highlights of the Clock Tower, the 315 ft spire on the Norwich Cathedral (second tallest in the UK) and the Norwich Castle. This will also help you get your bearings to easily find your way around! Norwich’s grand, ancient buildings and streets are largely in tact, which makes it a wonderfully visual and intersting place to visit.

  • The predominantly ancient city of Norwich does have some carefully integrated modern buildings such as The Forum, the Origins and the uber cool Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, found in the University of East Anglia. These are the major art, theatre and culture hubs of Norwich and attract international talent and culture. If all this isn't enough by day and you are more inclined toward the land of the nocturnal, the happening club scene in Norwich is the only rival to Cambridge in all of East Anglia.
