St John Street seems to have become the spiritual home of the gastropub and The Well is another great example of the genre. Unfussy and obviously 'pubby' with a downstairs bar-lounge which is available for hire too, serving good quality trad. pub food with a twist. What's Cooking? Homemade chilli con carne with creme fraiche, toulouse sausages with garlic mash, smoked duck with celeriac remoulade and sweet chilli oil.Average price - £25-£34/€35-€49
