Theatre Royal Drury Lane has been rebuilt four times since it opened back in the mid 1600's. This beautiful historic theatre fell victim to a fire later that decade, but was lovingly restored to it's former glory soon after.
The theatre is ideally located in Central London, and is easily accessible via London's transport links. The entrance to the theatre is a signposted door on Russell Street, and visitors can enjoy the venues beautiful auditorium with it's range of comfortable seating to suit all budgets.
Two costume-clad actors lead backstage tours from front of house to backstage and under the stage where the impressive hydraulics system can be seen.
Tours
The tours take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 14:15 and 16:45. Alternatively they are available at 10:15 on Wednesdays and Saturdays and, if you arrange it beforehand, tours can also take place at 12:00 on Sundays.
