Leceister Square is a pedestrianised square in the west end of London. The area has a number of cinemas including a very comfortable lounge cinema, whatever the time of the day or night this place always seems to be packed, even thought there isn't much to do here.
The square has been associated with cinema since the 1930s and the Odeon dates from this period, with classic architecture. Nearly all film premieres are held in Leicester Square when the red carpet is rolled out to greet Hollywood's finest.
The Arts Theatre is where the Royal Shakespear company started out, although not for long, it was then the home to the Unicorn Children’s Theatre. The Hippodrome is on the corner of the square, and after watching a play or musical there are a few good pubs nearby to enjoy a night cap.
