East London Travel Guide

Docklands

Until recently the poor relation of the glam West End, East London is now where the bright young things of London society want to be seen. Shoreditch and Hoxton have changed beyond recognition during the last ten years and now you can find art house cinemas, modern art galleries, trendy bars, as well as Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen restaurant. Brick Lane and Columbia Road retain more of their original atmosphere, and are well worth exploring. Expect a lot of activity at this end of town in the lead up to 2012 Olympics!
