The Regent's Park you see today was designed in 1811 by the great architect John Nash, although it owes it's existence most notably to Henry VIII who took the land from the church for hunting.
Within the broad arch of its boundaries you will find the beautiful Queen Mary's Gardens, an open-air theatre, London Zoo as well as London's largest outdoor sports area at over 100 acres.
Exquisitely executed, the park offers manicured lawns, wildlife and lakes, and is a magnet for sun worshippers and picnickers throughout the summer months. Come on a weekend all year long and you can sit back with a newspaper and watch anything from a full cricket match to Aussie Rules Football.
