The Ashes is a Test cricket series, played between England and Australia and dates back to 1882.
The Ashes series consists of five test matches, two innings per match. If the result is a draw, the country already holding the Ashes keeps them.
The host country is alternated each time, this year being held in England. Locations include: Cardiff, Lords, Edgaton, Headingley and The Oval

2009 marks the 250th anniversary of Scottish poet Robert Burns' birth. Burns was a poet and a lyricist and is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland.
