Finchley, Whetstone Travel Guide

Totteridge is an open, green place of broad streets with mansions, tennis courts, swimming pools and golf courses. There is good community spirit and it doesn't feel like London. There are small local shops and a post office, but Whetstone has the major high street chain stores. Finchley, with good local amenities, is classic north London suburbia with 1930's housing and Mock-Tudor the dominant style.

Celebrate - The National Poet of Scotland

Robert Burns

2009 marks the 250th anniversary of Scottish poet Robert Burns' birth. Burns was a poet and a lyricist and is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland.

His life and work will be celebrated throughout the year at many Burns-related events.
