Highbury, perhaps best known as the home of Premier football team Arsenal, is just north of Islington across pleasant Highbury Fields. It has some good cafes, pubs and is less pretentious than its southern neighbour. Further north, Stoke Newington has an arty creative bent and prides itself on its independence. Lying off grubby Holloway Road, Tufnell Park leans towards Camden and Hampstead in feel.
