Catford lies to the south west of this locality, and is the administrative centre for the London Borough of Lewisham. The most attractive parts of the area are to be found in the Culvery Green Conservation Area, and the market that runs from Tuesday to Saturday is well worth checking out.
To the north is Brockley, which may be known to David Lodge fans as the Brickley of his novels. Bordering Dulwich, Brockley is a green and leafy area, every much on the up with delis and cafe bars springing up all around.
To the north east is Peckham, best known as the stomping ground of Del & Rodney Trotter from one of the BBC’s best loved Comedies, Only Fools & Horses. Things have improved a lot since they first hit our screens in the mid 80s, and there are now bars where Del could go to indulge his taste for Pina Coladas.
