Most Londoners, honorary or by birth, have eaten at Strada at least once. The stylish Italian group consistently offers good value traditional fresh food in smart restaurants, each individually designed so that diners have little sense of eating in a stormingly successful chain.
The menu includes simply-prepared pastas, risottos and grilled meat and fish dishes, but pizza is the specialty - each one theatrically spun by hand and baked in a large forno a legna, a traditional woodfired oven.
You'll soon settle on a favourite; ours is the quattro stagioni - a moreish medley of tomato, mozzarella, piccante salami, roasted, peppers, mushrooms, grilled artichokes and olives. Service is fast, friendly and professional. Long may Strada grow.
