The Natural History Museum is a magnificent Gothic building, featuring all you need to know about the natural world. From the giant dinosaur skeleton, which stands in the main hall, to the extensive displays of mammals & creepy crawly installations, this is a wonderful place for learning.
Just next-door is the Science Museum, which makes learning a thing or two as much fun as possible. There are a number of different sections with displays on Space, Transport, Chemistry, Flight and Medicine - all with hands-on exhibitions.
The Victoria & Albert Museum was founded in the 1850s, and dedicated to everything relating to applied art and design. Exhibitions include the Dress Room, which is always littered with fashion students, eagerly tracing the history of clothing from the 17th century, and features the Vivienne Westwood platform shoes, which supermodel Naomi Campbell wore when she took her infamous ‘trip’ down the catwalk.
