Hyde Park is in the centre of Paddinton and is it's main attraction. The park dominates the south of this locality and covers over 350 acres. It has been a royal park since Henry VIII ‘acquired’ it from the monks of Westminster. The park is very much part of the fabric of London life, Hyde Park is a fantastic spot to pass a warm summer’s day.
Bayswater lies immediately to the north of Hyde Park, and is a district that sprung up after the Great Western Railway first pulled into Paddington in 1838. The station itself was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and was one of the finest examples of an early station.
Head to Queensway when you feel peckish or want to enjoy some good shopping. It is full of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants.
