For a bit of celebrity spotting head to the charming Richmond (otherwise known as Richmond upon Thames) it is home to a handful of musicians and actors including Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, the area also attracts families and young professionals.
Richmond is a bustling and exclusive centre. High Street is laden with fresh off the Paris catwalk designer boutiques and fantastic gift shopping. The restaurants and pubs are some of the best in the area and are a popular destination for many central Londoners.
For a more relaxing way to explore the area, there are a number of stately homes such as Ham House, which are open to the public and provide a fascinating historical insight. Take a visit to the beautiful Kew Gardens which is just up the river, they have almost 33,000 species growing in plantations and glasshouses a display that attracts over a million visitors a year.
