This corner of SE Essex contains the three Bs: Brentwood, Basildon & Billericay, but it also boasts some idyllic, rural countryside too. While Brentwood and Billericay are thoroughly modern towns, there remain in both historic buildings that hint at their long and distinguished past. Basildon is a much more recent creation, that grew up around a Ford car plant, and became synonymous with the working man made good cant of the Thatcher era. Surrounding these towns are some lovely landscapes, dotted with quaint olde worlde villages and pubs.
