Lying by the River Stort in rural Hertfordshire and bordering the county of Essex is Bishops Stortford. This ancient market town prospered due to the wool trade.

Bishop Stortford is near Stansted which is the home to Stansted International airport, the third largest airport in the UK after Heathrow and Gatewick. Stansted is also the home of the House on the Hill Museum, this large toy museum has a massive variety of toys, games and books from the 19th century through to the 1970s, including exhibits of Cindy, Barbie and Action man, a teddy bears picnic and assorted film and television displays.
