Coaches & National Express at Stansted

Stansted Airport Coach Station is in front of the one terminal building. The coach station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

National Express Coach routes from Stansted include:

  • Norwich every two hours direct
  • Hemel Hempstead, High Wycombe & Oxford every two hours
  • Luton, Milton Keynes, Coventry & Birmingham
  • Cambridge, Heathrow, Gatwick & Brighton every two hours
  • Cambridge, Hatfield, Heathrow, Gatwick & Brighton
  • A9 non-stop service to London Stratford every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day
  • A7 to London Liverpool Street & Victoria every 30 minutes, 0000 to 0430 hours
  • A6 to London Victoria - Central London up to every 20 minutes - 24 hours a day
  • A6 runs via Golders Green, Finchley Rd Tube Station, St Johns Wood, Baker St, Marble Arch & Hyde Park Corner.

Terravision Express Shuttleoperate a non-stop coach service between Stansted Airport and London Victoria. Departs Stansted hourly between 05:30 & 21:30 then 22:15, 23:00, 23:45, 00:15 & 00:45. Departs Victoria hourly between 03:00 & 23:00 plus additional service at 22:30.

Night Coaches

Coaches replace the Stansted Express trains through the night for fast, safe, direct transfers between the airport and central London for flights arriving after midnight & before 4pm. Cheaper than taxis, the coach journey time is just 45 minutes.

  • Night coaches run between 00.00 & 04.00
  • Coaches depart every 30 minutes, on the hour & half past the hour
  • Departure point is Stansted Airport Coach station
  • Arrive at Bishopsgate (Stop F) near Liverpool Street Station, EC2, London
  • Depart London every 30 minutes, on the hour & half past the hour, 02.30 to 04.30

Stansted Local Buses

Stansted Airport benefits from numerous local buses for cheap travel to & from nearby towns, villages & train stations in the surrounding area. Arriva, Excel, First Coachlink & Eastern National are the main operators with buses running seven days a week.

2009 marks the 250th anniversary of Scottish poet Robert Burns' birth. Burns was a poet and a lyricist and is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland.

The Burns Supper was started a few years after his death by a group of his friends; they held the supper to honour and remember Burns. The tradition caught on and the ritual of Burns Supper is now held all around the world.
