This small airport is 35 miles north of London. The pioneering low cost airline, easyjet, started here in 1995, this major no-frills airline dominates flights to & from Luton. The airport has an ever expanding choice of cheap flights with a number of budget airlines.

Update October 2003 The Italian airline Volare's new low-cost flights, Volareweb.com flights, & their UK base will be at London Luton Airport. Volare will be flying daily services to Venice (Marco Polo), Rimini and Cagliari.
