Cirencester is known as the 'Capital of the Cotswolds', it is in an outstanding part of England with fantastic scenery and gorgeous near-by towns and villages. There is plenty to do in and around the town. St Mary's Abbey was constructed in 1176 in the presence of Henry II, the abbey was later demolished in 1539, leaving the only remaining building, the Norman Arch which is situated on the north-eastern corner of the grounds. The grounds are very lovely and you should take time to visit them if you're in the area.
Situated in a converted Victorian brewery in the heart of Cirencester town centre is The Brewery Arts it is the Cotswold's unique crafts and arts centre. The gallery is dedicated to having exhibitions showing challenging and beautiful contemporary Arts and crafts.
