Stow-on-the-Wold, is situated on the Roman Fosse Way in the Cotswolds. At nearly 800ft it is exposed on a high hill at a junction of seven roads and is the highest of the Cotswolds towns.
The village has a long history that dates back to a prehistoric fortified settlement on top of the hill. There are many shops and Inns that are all built in the lovely Cotswold stone, which gives you the feeling you’ve gone back in time.
Stow-on-the-Wold is renown for its antique shops, and lovely shopping centre, it also has some lovely Art galleries and Gift shops and is a centre for Walking the Cotswolds countryside.

2009 marks the 250th anniversary of Scottish poet Robert Burns' birth. Burns was a poet and a lyricist and is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland.
The Burns Supper was started a few years after his death by a group of his friends; they held the supper to honour and remember Burns. The tradition caught on and the ritual of Burns Supper is now held all around the world.
His life and work will be celebrated throughout the year at many Burns-related events.
