Surrey Street Market is a definate must when visiting Croydon, it is one of the oldest surviving markets in London with records showing its existence as far back as the 13th century. Here you will find everything from fruit & veg, breads, fish and delicacies from around the world, including tastes of China, India and the Caribbean.
A visit to Croydon Palace is a must visit. For a truly British experience you can be taken through the magnificent Chapel and Gallery and even to the Bedroom, which was once the sleeping place of Elizabeth 1st, and then round your trip off with a pot of tea, and a plate of scones. True decadence!
