Gatton Park in Reigate is a beautiful spot overlooking the North Downs, the 250 acres of parkland, which was recorded in the Domesday book, has lovely gardens grounds, which include a Rock & Water Garden and a Japanese Garden.
An alternative way to explore the area is by going to Redhill Helicopter Centre, where you can take an aerial tour of the region, or fly over London landmarks. If you fancy being James Bond for a day you can be flown for lunch at Amberley Castle.
This region was one of the first to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a great way to explore it is on horseback on one of the many bridal ways, or you could hire a bike and journey to Box Hill with its 19th century fort.
