Guildford has many places of interest either in the town or close by. Clandon Park, is just a few miles from Guildford, it is open to the public from April through 'til October, and is a fine and rare example of Palladian architecture, Venetian architect Giacomo Leoni built the house. The house and its grounds display a collection of antiques from around the world, drawing together the cultures of Britain, Italy and New Zealand.

Wisley is home to the Royal Horticultural Society’s gardens, and is crammed with rare species, it is a gardener’s dream. Those with even the slightest interest in plants and flowers can have all their gardening questions answered by the Wisley staff, or just enjoy the beauty surrounding them. The green houses are home to some fine specimens, and especially popular are the impressive collections of orchids and fuchsias.

The Pride of the Valley Sculpture Park has ten acres of parkland covered with 200 beautifully created sculptures that are for sale. The parkland is also a gorgeous water garden, it is worth checking out.
