The Orange Tree in Leicester was the first of a chain of Orange Tree pubs to be opened, back in October 1997. The first Orange tree was opened on high street in Leicester. With the emphasis on good honest service surrounded by a laid back unpretentious feel. This success led to the openings of the orange tree in Loughborough and Nottingham. The O bar was opened in 2001 in the Leicester’s west end and caters for the late night crowd.
In December 2003 the newest addition to the Orange tree was opened The Lansdowne, 123 London Road Leicester, this is a balance of all of the original Orange tree and O bar values and was winner of the Leicester Mercury award for the best bar in Leicester. It was also finalist in the Theme bar awards and the Publican awards for the best design. Whichever bar you frequent the emphasis has to be on enjoyment and fun. Life is too short for anything else!
