Thornton Reservoir is set amongst 75 acre’s of beautiful rolling farmland and woodland. Paths have been created through the woodland surrounding the reservoir for a variety of users; an extension to the surfaced track around the reservoir enables less able visitors to access the wood.
There is also a Sculpture Trail that is worth checking out, it was designed and created by groups of disabled people working with professional artist Martin Herron, it reflects the bird life seen on the reservoir.
