Nottingham Forest Football Club played their first game in 1866, moving to their current home The City Ground in 1898, which is located on the south side of the River Trent and was one of the venues for Euro 96. The football club has seen a range of ups and downs, from winning the European Cup in 1979 and 1980 under the reign of Forrest legend Brian Clough, to relegation from the Premier League in 1999, and financial turmoil in 2002 with the collapse of a major sponsor in ITV digital.
