Peterborough Cathedral is a beautiful Cathedral steeped rich in history. The first abbey was established at Peterborough around 655 AD. The Cathedral is still the seat of the Bishop of Peterborough, as it has been since the Diocese was created in 1541.
The Cathedral also caters for many functions including exhibitions, concerts and school outings. There is also a permanent exhibition telling the life of the Cathedral and the daily life of a Benedictine monk.
