Ironbridge Gorge is regarded as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, and so has been given the distinction of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site. All around this steep sided valley are exhibitions showing the industrial heritage of an area that was engaged in mining, iron making, engineering and china manufacture.
