We stopped by this restaurant for an informal Sunday lunch. It was a gorgeous autumn day in Ironbridge, and the restaurant has an attractive, sunny terrace overlooking the river. We ordered two steak sandwiches and a cheese and bacon sandwich --- nothing too challenging.
When they came, both steak sandwiches had large strips of essentially uncooked fat on the side. It was impossible to even cut the sandwich in half, much less bite through it with your teeth. And the fact that the fat was almost raw made it less appealing.
The bacon in the cheese and bacon sandwich was also undercooked --- pink and slimy.
When we asked if the meals could please be re-cooked, a young and snippy man told me that "steak has fat." (I'm 58 years old and have figured that out.) We left.
