Shrewsbury Travel Guide

Shrewsbury is one of the best examples of a Tudor town in the country, and roads such as Butcher’s Row and Fish Street seem entirely untouched by the last five hundred years. The town sits in a loop of the River Severn, and is served by ten historic bridges. Charles Darwin was born in the town, and you can discover more about him and other Shrewsbury luminaries, such as Clive of India, at the Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery.
